The PCB Connectors can be divided into two types depending on how the connectors are installed. That is THT and SMT connector. Our female header (Socket/Receptacle or Header receptacle) of this kind is a THT connector. THT is short of Through Hole Technology. THT involves inserting sockets with tails or leads into holes drilled in the PCB. These sockets will be described as through board sockets/female headers/ receptacles. The leads can then be solder process, but this process only can work by hand.
