Product description
1.Product detail
Silica brick is the acid refractory ,which consist mainly of tridymite, cristobalite, and a small amount of residual quartz and glass phases.
The silica content is 94% or more. It has acid slag corrosion resistance and higher high temperature strength. The load softening start temperature is 1620~1670 °C. Long-term use at high temperatures does not deform. The thermal shock stability is low (heat exchange in water for 1~4 times). Natural silica is used as raw material, and an appropriate amount of mineralizer is added to promote the conversion of quartz in the body into scaly quartz. Slowly fired at 1350~1430 °C under a reducing atmosphere. This residual expansion will make the joints tight and ensure good air tightness and structural strength of the masonry.

c.Higher refractoriness under load,above 1620-1680°C
d.Poor Thermal shock resistance,should not be used for the zone which temperature has rapid change
e.Poor Volume stability at high temperature,must set aside appropriate expansion joint when laying brick
f.True density is changed between 2.33-2.42g/cm3,the smaller, the better
3.Applications
It is widely used for coke oven, glass smelting kiln furnace,steel furnace , Hot-blast stove, Hot-blast stove etc.
