PTC is a semiconductor ceramic element with a positive temperature coefficient. Its main representative materials are barium titanate series. It is an organic compound. It is made by molding, high temperature sintering to produce various shapes and specifications of heating elements. When the PTC component is applied, as long as an AC or DC power supply is added to the two chip ends, the rated heating temperature can be obtained. A positive temperature coefficient thermistor means that its resistance value increases significantly with increasing temperature, and is also referred to as PTC for short. Using this characteristic, positive temperature coefficient thermistors are mostly used in automatic control circuits.
