The input reactor is mounted at the output of the frequency inverter. It is used for limiting the capacitive charging current of the connection cable between the frequency inverter and the motor, and passivating the voltage buildup rate of PWM from the frequency inverter. When the motor cable length is over a certain value, a reactor is recommended to mount between the frequency inverter and the motor. The reactor is used for compensating the capacitive recharging current at the long cable. The max length of the cable is subject to the rated value of the frequency inverter and the cable type.
